Dr. Asher Neren specializes in the medical and surgical management of the anterior segment of the eye. He is fellowship-trained in Cornea and Keratorefractive surgery.
His expertise is in the following areas: Dry Eyes, Cataracts and Intraocular Lens Implantation, Cornea Transplantation, LASIK vision correction and PRK, and general eye care; including diabetic and glaucoma eye exams.
Dr. Neren received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Universith of Pennsylvania. He returned to the University of Pennsylvania and received a post-baccalaureate degree in the Health Sciences. He went to Chicago Medical School, graduating in the top 15% of his class. He completed his internship at New York Hospital-Queens in Flushing, NY. He completed a pre-residency Fellowship in Ophthalmology at the VA Medical Center in Brooklyn, followed by his Ophthalmology Residency at State University of New York downstate in Brooklyn. Dr. Neren then pursued further training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Cornea and Keratorefractive Surgery.
When not pursuing his career interests, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, as well as jogging, playing softball and traveling.
